The new expected figure of Sudanese refugees is 250,000 people by the end of 2023.

As of June 23th, 190,000 new arrivals have been enumerated and 143,000 people fixed in the sites. When the Chadian transition President visited the refugees the week of 19th June, he requested a better international community mobilization due to the fact that, more vulnerable people are expected to come in.

From Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th June, 2023, FAO Representative, Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock are visiting some refugee’s sites in Ouaddai province. As outcomes of this mission, livelihoods of host community, returnees and refugees will be boosted.
