Early warning information landscape in Ethiopia

The early warning (EW) information landscape in Ethiopia is rich, with a number of government and humanitarian initiatives. Most EW information, however, is centered on natural hazards, primarily drought and flooding and subsequent impact on food security. This leaves opportunity for a truly multi-hazard, multi-impact system integrating local-led initiatives. Given overlapping humanitarian crises within Ethiopia, developing and improving the EW information landscape is crucial to better anticipate, disseminate, and inform early action.
